VISA! VISA!

So today I finalized all my paperwork for my work Visa. I sent it off to Vancouver to be left in the hands of Hotel Van. More and more emails arrive discussing plans, etiquette, and expectations, but nothing yet of a departure date.

As I begin...

I have been thinking a lot since I got the call.  The phone call that made me scream in the car.  The call that asked if I was interested in going to China to help open the new Fairmont Beijing.  I was so excited.  It was August 25th, a significant day for me as it was my birthday.  I was beside myself that day.  But I have continued to do a lot of thinking.  What will I bring?  What will I do?  Where will I live?  How long will I be gone?  But the question that sticks out for me is simply how different can it be?
